The Form 3L’s Long Awaited Arrival.
Last year, Formlabs introduced the Form 3L, their first large format Low Force Stereolithography (LFS) 3D printer for reliable production of industrial-quality parts, featuring a massive build volume at an unprecedented price.
Formlabs concluded several months of rigorous beta testing with a host of innovative companies like Optimus Ride, Black Diamond, and Axial3D. The Form 3L offered each of them a unique benefit, whether it was printing 1:1 automotive parts in house rather than outsourcing and waiting days, or printing multiple parts of an assembly in one go rather than having to split it up over the course of 3 prints, or printing a lifesize model of a complex pediatric case.
The Form 3L will begin shipping to customers in September. Printers ordered now will start shipping by the end of Q4 2020 in North America and Europe. We cannot wait to see what our community is able to do with five times the build volume of Formlabs current desktop products. Pre-order pricing for the Form 3L will end after September 14.
